GETAFE: Borja Mayoral and Mason Greenwood struck in the first half to help the home team register their first La Liga victory this year as they edged past Granada 2-0 at Estadio Coliseum on Monday.
Borja Mayoral jumped to the top of the La Liga goal scorers’ chart with his 14th goal during the match, levelling Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid and Artem Dovbyk of Girona.
Mason Greenwood opened the scoring for the home team in the 21st minute as he struck from between the line of defenders to the top right corner after finding a headed pass from Juan Iglesias.

Meanwhile, Mayoral took advantage in the 26th minute as Granada’s goalkeeper Augusto Batalla slipped while in possession, which allowed the striker to steal and net the ball to double the lead.
Granada could not do much throughout the game, ultimately succumbing to a 2-0 defeat, extending their winless streak to three games.

Meanwhile, Girona once again claimed the top spot in the La Liga points table on Sunday, sliding Real Madrid to second after a 1-0 away victory over Celta Vigo at Estadio de BalaÃdos.
Portu scored the match-winner for the visitors as he found Miguel Gutiérrez’s cross in the 20th minute and rocketed it from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner.
