HARARE: Middle-order batter Ryan Burl’s fighting 69-run knock bolstered Zimbabwe A to put up a decent total against a strong Pakistan Shaheens’ bowling attack in the first one-day of the six-match series here on Wednesday.

Put into bat first, Zimbabwe A batting lineup struggled against a disciplined Pakistan Shaheens’ bowling attack and were bundled out for 234 in the 46th over.
The hosts had a dismal start to their innings as they ran out half of their batters in just the 14th over with only 64 runs on the scoreboard.
Following the slump, Ryan Burl and wicketkeeper Clive Madane scripted an astounding recovery for their side as they stitched a gritty partnership for the sixth wicket.
The duo soaked in the pressure, exerted by the Pakistan bowlers, and added 90 runs to the total before Madane fell victim to Mehran Mumtaz in the 30th over. He scored 34 off 55 deliveries and hit three boundaries.
