RAWALPINDI: Danni Wyatt and Bismah Maroof led a batting onslaught to help Amazons raise a massive 205-run target against Super Women in the second exhibition match of the Women’s League, here on Friday.
Wyatt and Amazons’ skipper Bismah dominated the Super Women’s bowlers completely as the two raised an astounding 137-run partnership for the second wicket.
English batter Wyatt smashed 17 fours and three maximums during her premium knock and left the crease just three runs short of a magnificent century. She scored 97 from just 45 balls before falling prey to Tuba Hasan in the 14th over.
Electing to bat first, Amazons went through an unwanted start when New Zealander Lea Tahuhu gave Super Women a first-over breakthrough, dismissing Eyman Farima for a paltry 2.
Captain Bismah, who joined Wyatt on the wicket following the early scare, also looked in superb touch as she smacked around a dozen boundaries during her unbeaten 73 off 51 balls.
