MULTAN: Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed stormed through the top order with five early wickets on his debut Test to help Pakistan contain England’s onslaught in the second Test.
England’s strong batting line was completely shattered by the magical spin of the 24-year-old debutant, who claimed his maiden five-wicket haul in international cricket in the very first session on the opening day of the Multan Test.
Opener Harry Brook and no.3 Ollie Pope accelerated the scoreboard with rapid half-centuries as England refused to pay respect to the spinning track and jacked up 180 before Lunch but lost five wickets in the process.
